Iridium Burst(SM) TS-GDB Terminal

Celestech is now offering the TS-GDB Iridium Burst(SM) terminal. The TS-GDB is a self-contained unit including an internal antenna. The TS-GDB connects to a host computer system or other device via a USB 2.0 Standard-B Connector. The TS-GDB draws its power from the USB interface and requires approximately 60 mA of power. This is easily provided by most laptops and some tablets. The TS-GDB is pictured with a 1 Euro coin and a US Quarter Dollar coin.

The TS-GDB provides a simple, affordable means of accessing Iridium Burst(SM) broadcasts. The device measures 4 x 3 x 1.4 inches (10.1 x 7.6 x 3.4 cm) and can be attached to any USB 2.0 port that can provide the rated power. It comes with an Application Program Interface software library for Linux. The TS-GDB device is available now!

Contact us or email us at GDB@celestech.com for additional information. Click contact us for information on ordering the TS-GDB device. The retail price for the TS-GDB device is $385.00 US per unit.

The TS-GDB device makes it easy to pair the power of the Iridium Burst(SM) service with nearly any computer. The device is furnished with a software API that enables rapid integration with your applications. The API provides a simple procedure call interface that encapsulates the functions needed to manage the terminal and receiving of Iridium Burst(SM) messages using the TS-GDB device. The TS-GDB is an Iridium Certified product.

Note that the TS-GDB device is not built to support Iridium Short Burst Data.

TS-IRIDIUM Board

Celestech is offering a ruggedized 9602 Short Burst Data/Iridium Burst(SM) modem PC/104 board (TS-IRIDIUM) allowing access to a wide variety of standard hardware. Celestech can help you with developing and certifying your Iridium Burst(SM) or SBD applications using this platform. The board has a pair of SMA antenna connectors for an Iridium antenna and an output to an external GPS receiver. Please note that you must connect an appropriate external antenna to this board. The board measures 3.5 x 3.75 inches (8.9 x 9.5 cm) and can be stacked as part of any PC/104 system. It comes with an Application Program Interface software library for Linux. The TS-IRIDIUM is designed with power savings in mind and allows the application to have extensive control over power consumption. The Iridium Certified board/modem/software is available now!
